Eye Examinations
We provide complete, thorough eye examinations to all members of the family at
any age. All examinations, even the most routine, are performed by the Ophthalmologist
(also called an Eye MD). This assures you that every aspect of eye health (not just your
prescription) will be checked by the specialist most qualified to examine eyes.
Children should receive their first eye examination at about four years
of age. They can be examined much earlier, however, if there is reason to
suspect an eye problem.
If there are any questions about a child's sight we encourage you to arrange
an appointment.
Most adults should have a thorough exam every two years.
Exceptions do occur; for example, diabetics who are undergoing treatment with
insulin or oral agents should have an exam at least yearly. Other conditions such
as Glaucoma require even more frequent monitoring.
All of our examination schedules are based on what is best for the patient.
This provides the ultimate quality in eye care while at the same time keeping
your costs to a minimum. Whether you need the latest, most advanced surgery or just a new pair of glasses, each of us at Eye Surgery Associates is here to help you.
