  Cataract Operation

This section contains an animation (version 1) of a Cataract (phacoemulsification) operation. Images may take a short while to download. Dr. Hedges is a specialist in cataract surgery. He has successfully performed thousands of these procedures. Currently he is using a small incision technique with no sutures. This approach is both effective and safe with a very short recovery period. Patients can usually resume their normal aactivities in only a day or two. If you or a family member think you may have a cataract, our office can easily diagnose the condition, answer your questions, and make recommendations.
